Coaching Football and Teaching Yoga: Eddy Augustin

Joe speaks with Eddy Augustin about coaching football, teaching yoga, and where they collide.

About Eddy:

Eddy Augustin has been a college football coach for over 20-years. He’s currently entering his 11th season at Amherst College working as the special teams coordinator and defensive line coach.

A native of Malvern, Pa., Augustin majored in psychology at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and earned a master’s degree in sports psychology at John F. Kennedy University in California. He began his college athletic career wrestling at Drexel University before transferring to Millersville University where he competed for both the Marauder Football and Wrestling programs.

Eddy completed the Embodyoga® 200-hour teacher training at Amherst Yoga Center under Corinne Andrews and Patty Townsend and currently working on his 300-hour certification. Eddy teaches Embodyoga® classes for the Amherst College Wellness program and works with several of Amherst College athletic teams including football, squash and baseball.  

He and his wife, Georgina, reside in Amherst with their daughters, Morgan and Avelynn.
